Nick’s background includes various sales and managerial roles in the commercial asset sectors with Barclays, HSBC, RBS, and Bank of Ireland.
Nick brought the only prior experience of the brokerage market to the business, gained from his position of General Manager of the ‘in-house’ brokerage at the Mills Manufacturing Group, the largest independent machine tool dealer and agency in the UK, now based in Leamington Spa.
His experience at Mills enabled Nick to establish a number of successful manufacturer and dealer relationships for B2B, offering a ‘point of sale’ finance solution that consistently achieves incremental sales of capital assets using finance as one of the lead strategies.
Nick's ‘direct sales’ role within B2B delivers Asset Finance and Invoice Finance direct to market, and he is responsible for managing the development of existing relationships with B2B’s growing customer base. Naturally his role also derives opportunities for ‘whole-life’ financial solutions on behalf of our ‘Consultancy’ business.
In addition to his role as Company Secretary, Nick is responsible for the financial management of B2B, IT systems and infrastructure, and ongoing systems and procedural compliance in regard to the Financial Conduct Authority.
Nick also spent 13 years as a Magistrate (JP)
Simon, who was previously part of the team which set up Clydesdale Bank in Norwich, has over 30 years experience in the commercial finance and business banking markets including RBS and HSBC.
Simon also specialised in Marine mortgages.
Professionally accredited to assess lending risk in the commercial sector, Simon’s key role within the business is in project-managing ‘packaged’ finance solutions on a consultancy basis for our clients.
Many of these clients are referred to Simon from the Commercial Banking teams, Accountants, and Independent Financial Advisers (IFA’s) where a more flexible or innovative approach may be required.
Ian is attributed with bringing Simon and Nick together over 25 years ago within his regional role with the Royal Bank of Scotland based in Norwich. Ian went on to set up Bank of Ireland’s first East Anglia regional team before taking on the national role to develop the bank’s products and service throughout the UK
A natural Manager, Ian is responsible for the relationships with our Associates, and our introducing dealers, vendors, and manufacturers from all over the UK.
His ‘resource intensive’ role includes the preparation of incoming proposals, negotiation of terms and pricing with our substantial suite of commercial lenders, and the completion and processing of the finance contracts and ancillary paperwork to ensure timely delivery of the funding where it’s needed.
Throughout, Ian monitors our panel of around 40 asset finance funding Partners to ensure we have the appropriate mix of lenders to accommodate the substantial variety of applications received on a daily basis.
Lindsay accumulated 26 years experience working in Accounts, Internal Control, Risk, and Human Resources for a multinational PLC alongside setting up her own consultancy business in 2006.
She now manages the internal finances and Human Resources for a number of local companies and is responsible for development and daily management of B2B’s internal financial systems and controls to enable the rest of our team to focus on ‘hands on’ business development.
Lindsay’s own Consultancy business, ‘Apple Bookkeeping Solutions’, is accredited to our professional panel of financial support Partners offering financial control, sales and purchase ledger, VAT returns, and SAGE training for our clients.
After becoming authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority in March 2015, Lindsay was appointed as Office Manager in addition to her other roles and responsibilities to help manage ongoing compliance.
James joined B2B in September 2011.
Educated at City of Norwich School (CNS), James completed his additional two years at 6th Form achieving ‘A’ levels which include Business Studies and Economics, before progressing through our ‘Apprenticeship’ scheme, initially as an internal administrator, progressing to a Sales Co-ordinator.
James was appointed to a full Associate role in January 2015, specialising in supporting vehicle dealers, and equipment suppliers with ‘point of sale’ finance propositions to their customers.
Additionally, James has taken responsibility for generating repeat business through our existing customer-base and for driving new business by converting customers from B2B target prospects.
With an incredibly strong work ethic, James’ enthusiasm and professionalism delivers consistently high customer satisfaction.
Tim joined our team from his previous “hunter” role within the RBS group.
With over 25 years experience in sales and management across the motor, and commercial finance sectors throughout East Anglia, Tim recognised B2B Cashflow Solutions’ ability to offer independent support and advice while working with clients to face the challenges in a difficult financial climate.
Paul brings 30 years asset finance experience to the team within roles at HSBC, RBS Group, and as a Regional Sales Manager at Bank of Ireland Business Finance, culminating in his appointment to BoI Head of Sales before establishing his own internet based business supplying vehicles in 2006.
Paul joined B2B in 2008, initially to manage our own vehicle supply website (www.b2bcashflowsolutions.com), before utilising his extensive knowledge in the wider commercial finance markets.
Paul’s career has spanned significant changes within the Asset Finance industry over the decades and believes that his experience complements the resources at his disposal through B2B to ensure his customers are afforded the appropriate support they need and deserve. He joined B2B Cashflow Solutions ”to become part of a growing, vibrant team where customer relations are paramount.”
Rachel joined us from Lombard having developed her career within the RBS/NatWest Group for over 21 years.
Rachel brings a wealth of experience in the business banking and asset finance sectors across Norfolk and Suffolk. Her reputation for success, delivered through strong customer relationships, is supported by numerous awards over recent years.
Rachel believes understanding clients needs is complimented by the freedom to truly work with her customers in delivering the extensive range of products and services available through the B2B brand.
Rachel also claims to have delivered the finance for the last ever Foden commercial vehicle to leave their production line under invoice # 502318 dated 31st July 2006!!
Karl joined us from RBS, latterly as Relationship Director for Norfolk, Suffolk & Cambridge, during his career Karl has developed a flexible and personalised approach to assisting his clients.
His philosophy is ‘take the time to understand my clients and design a solution around them’. This philosophy is evidenced through various regional and national career awards for ‘entrepreneurial behaviour’.
Karl has also invested significant time in professional development and holds an Applied Diploma in Corporate Banking as well as a Certificate and Diploma in Credit assessment accredited by the International School of Finance.
Karl believes that financial solutions through traditional money lenders have become increasingly introspective post 2008, however due B2B’s independence, complimented by access to our large and varied panel of lenders and other financial partners, he can continue to offer his clients the vital resources and solutions they require.

John’s career of almost four decades in commercial banking began with Barclays during the 1970’s! During this time John has operated predominately in East Anglia, developing his expertise with Barclays for over 35 years before dedicating his final 4 years in banking, establishing the Clydesdale Bank brand in Norwich.
Having focused on servicing the SME sector for the last 20 years of his career, JB’s key driver for joining our team in 2010 was “for the first time in my long career I was able to welcome the opportunity to help source innovative financial packages to the SME market under an independent banner”.
Based in Bury St Edmunds, Mike joined our team with over 25 years experience in Corporate Banking during his career with Barclays which has spanned over 40 years.
Over the past few years Mike has been establishing his own Suffolk based consultancy business and has developed a significant expertise in ‘business rescue & recovery’, and ‘turnaround’ & ‘support’, while continuing to work with clients on their business structure and strategy.
Mike understands the benefits to him and his clients in being a part of the growing ‘B2B’ proposition, enabling him to provide continued financial solutions expertise to new and existing clients, complimented by an extensive range of products & services.’’
George has worked in the motor finance sector for over 30 years, 18 of which he was employed by Haydock Finance, one of B2B’s key funding partners.
During George’s career he has enjoyed various roles within Business Development, Branch Management, and Regional Sales, based in and around Derbyshire and Yorkshire.
George set up his own finance brokerage in 2009 with well established contacts in South Manchester, North Derbyshire, and South Yorkshire, however George has taken his opportunity to develop his knowledge and scope within the business finance sector.

Kevin has worked in the Asset Finance industry since 1989, gaining significant experience within the RBS Group, Bank of Ireland and most recently Barclays Corporate.
His success has been based around providing asset based financing propositions tailored to specific customer requirements.
This has resulted in a well developed customer base throughout Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Leicestershire and Warwickshire across a diverse base of industry sectors.
The acquisition of Kevin to our team in 2012 significantly completed our geographical model for Associates throughout East Anglia.
Nicky joined the team from the RBS group where she specialised in structured Asset Finance with Lombard, during her successful 15-year career she has developed a strong customer base within the Suffolk and Essex regions across a variety of industry sectors.
She believes it is paramount that she and her customers are able to build ongoing relationships based on an accessible, trusting, mutual partnership with a local contact who understands their business, and can accommodate their funding needs.
Nicky shares B2B Cashflow Solutions ethos in providing the highest level of service to our customers via an extensive range of financial products and services.
Based out of Southend-on-Sea and servicing either side of the River Thames into London, Brian has been a broker since leaving RFC in 2002.
He boasts a RoyScot Trust and Chartered Trust background before spending his recent years establishing and developing a successful brokerage which specialises in the Taxi and Private Hire industry while continuing to maintain a solid corporate client base.
Brian has been dealing with some of his customers and suppliers for over 20 years, which is testament to his belief that customer satisfaction is paramount.
He shares B2B’s ethos and values and believes the support of their highly experienced team, with a large and varied panel of lenders, is the perfect combination“.
Paul specialises in developing relationships with dealer networks throughout East Anglia.
He joined B2B with 5 years commercial asset finance experience complementing his 12 years delivering consumer finance through his roles as Business Manager and Sales Controller for franchised dealers, an Account Manager with Close Motor Finance, and latterly as a Director of Credo Asset Finance.
Previously Paul developed his early career in roles as a Proprietary, Spot Foreign Exchange, and Deposit Trader for Morgan Grenfell, ABN Bank, and Banca Popolarie di Milano in London over an 18-year period.
Paul also offers consumer funding options to new and existing customers through his own internet-based business.
Kevin has enjoyed a banking career spanning over a quarter of a century exclusively with NatWest and has worked with business owners across numerous industries in Relationship Management roles for over 20 of those years, specialising in Real Estate Finance for the last decade.
Kevin is a Chartered Banker accredited Real Estate specialist and also holds an Applied Diploma in Corporate Banking.
Since leaving NatWest, Kevin has established a consultancy business helping clients to structure and present project funding proposals in the Real Estate sector and has joined forces with B2B to help deliver a total solution to clients, from initial preparation, business planning, and coaching in regard to structure and strategy, through to the delivery of funding.
Working with B2B’s panel of mortgage lenders, whether for owner-occupied trading premises or property development and investment, Kevin understands the factors needed to deliver successful funding solutions and that honesty, integrity and ability to meet deadlines are vital components of any funding relationship.
Based in Peterborough, Mark retains substantial Business & Corporate banking experience gained with Barclays Bank over a career spanning over 30 years.
During this time, Mark has operated across Cambridgeshire & South Lincolnshire, with the last 10 years of his career predominately focused on helping SMEs across a large range of industries. His experience covers a wide spectrum of financing and Mark has worked closely with businesses in understanding, identifying and shaping suitable solutions, assisting with short-term cash flow requirements through to longer term strategies to help them develop and grow.
Mark became an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB) as a result of completing his professional banking qualifications in the 1990’s, followed by several other financial planning and mortgage related accreditations. Notwithstanding this, Mark continues to invest time in professional development, which has included IFS School of Finance’s award for both ‘Commercial Lending’ and ‘Advanced Commercial Lending’ in 2007.
Mark was attracted to the partnership with B2B, having experienced first-hand just how his business customers could be helped professionally, quickly & efficiently with – sometimes innovative – financial solutions via an extensive range of products & services accessible through a large panel of lenders and other financial partners.
John has 25 years of experience in business and commercial banking during a career with Barclays Bank of over 40 years, most recently based in Cambridgeshire and South Lincolnshire and became an associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in 1989.
He has worked with clients in a wide variety of industries from start ups to long established businesses with emphasis in obtaining funding requirements to meet customer needs and establishing strong client relationships.
Having retired from Barclays Bank early in 2016, John still has a desire to work with businesses to understand their needs and to provide appropriate solutions and guidance.
John has introduced clients to B2B Cash Solutions in the past and was impressed with the professional manner that support was provided. As a result, a partnership with B2B was the obvious choice to make.
St.John was brought up in the Norfolk farming community and has strong connections and a good understanding of Agriculture.
He qualified in law and became an ‘in-house’ Solicitor for TSB Bank, specialising in Commercial and Banking Law.
During the 10 years of his legal career he gained a good understanding of secured and unsecured loans as well as the legal structures which underpin business.
In more recent years St.John took the opportunity to switch to private client investment management which continues to do and which gives him a strong understanding and contacts in Equity Finance.
As a result of his background he has gained considerable experience of the role of finance in business and his broad knowledge of legal business structure and advisory skills are invaluable to all business owners seeking to obtain finance solutions.
Dermot has 30 years experience of Asset Finance having worked for HSBC, Nat West, and Bank of Scotland.
He has also held Sales Management positions with both Peugeot and General Motors.
Dermot firmly believes that B2B can provide both the personal and efficient service that many banks struggle to deliver, while at the same time offering B2B customers impartial advice on business funding.
Simon enjoyed over 25 years experience in business & corporate banking, during a 34 year career with Barclays Bank, based mainly in Cambridgeshire & West Norfolk.
He has worked with businesses, from start up to larger corporations, in a wide variety of industries. His expertise is in understanding, identifying and providing suitable finance solutions to help businesses develop & grow.
Having retired from Barclays Bank in 2015, he still has a passion to work closely with Business owners, to help achieve their business goals and ambitions.
A partnership with B2B was therefore the logical choice.
We are delighted to have Roger Glasel join our specialist team. Roger has recently retired from his role as Trade Finance Manager with NatWest Bank, and has agreed to take on a new role within B2B Cashflow Solutions to develop a platform of funding services for businesses to support the 'trade cycle' of buying from suppliers to meet orders from customers.
With particular focus on imports and exports in the current climate, Roger will be focusing on developing our UK and international Trade Finance model.
Following a lengthy career in Banking mostly spent in International Trade Roger brings his considerable experience to B2B Cashflow Solutions and is a keen proponent of the Department of Trade initiative known as “Exporting is Great” – see www.export.great.gov.uk
Roger believes his 'strength rests in understanding each trade transaction, specifically looking at payment and lead times that will determine the length of the funding gap'.
In addition to providing funding solutions Roger also has a good knowledge of Letters of Credit, Import and Export Collections, Guarantees and hedging options.
