We are delighted to welcome Karl Lanham (DipACB) as a valuable and experienced addition to our business.
Karl joins the team from The Royal Bank of Scotland, latterly as Relationship Director for Norfolk, Suffolk & Cambridge. In this role Karl specialised in finding bespoke funding solutions for a portfolio of clients with T/O between £10-£25M.
The Directors of B2B were attracted to working with Karl as he has always been renowned for taking a flexible, customer focused approach to assisting his clients.
He believes that you start with what the client wants and needs first and, if necessary, build a product to meet that requirement. This approach secured Karl regional and national awards for entrepreneurial behaviour.
Investing significant time in professional development, Karl holds an Applied Diploma in Corporate Banking as well as a Certificate and Diploma in Credit assessment accredited by the International School of Finance.
He believes that lending institutes have become increasingly introspective post 2008 and feels that this trend will continue as the recommendations from the Vickers report on banking are implemented.
This combined with the capital constraints many of the UK banks find themselves working under means that, despite their protestations to the contrary, that the real experience many customers have is that banks are not ‘open for business’.
Karl comments, ”As we all continue to adjust to the new financial landscape, being independent with access to a large and varied panel of funders he is best placed to assist his clients to access the vital resources they require.”
